Named for LZ 127 Graf Zeppelin
LZ 127 Graf Zeppelin made 590 flights between 1928 and 1937 and covered more than a million miles. In 1929, it completed the first round-the-world airship flight with passengers on board.
The details
The Japanese Miyota 8215 automatic movement powers the hours, minutes, seconds, and date, and provides a power reserve of about 40 hours. The stainless steel case measures 40 mm across and 12 mm thick, and a mineral crystal covers the dial. Water resistance is rated at 50 meters.
The brown leather strap fastens with a pin buckle. The watch is made in Germany.

What is the power reserve?
About 40 hours when fully wound. Daily wear keeps the mainspring wound. After a longer period off the wrist, a few turns of the crown will restart it.
What is a mineral crystal?
Mineral glass, the standard crystal on many watches. It handles everyday wear well, but a deep scratch can’t be polished out, so a damaged crystal would need to be replaced by a watchmaker.
How big is the case?
It measures 40 mm across and 12 mm thick.
Where is it made?
In Germany. Zeppelin builds the watch around the Japanese Miyota 8215 movement at its own workshop in Ruhla, Thuringia.
How water resistant is it?
It’s water resistant to 50 meters, but Zeppelin advises against wearing it in the shower or tub, or swimming in the ocean with it.
