On the Visconti Dreaming Sunflowers fountain pen, hand-painted enamel brings Van Gogh's sunflowers to life across a sculpted silver barrel and cap.
The silver barrel and cap are micro-cast using the lost-wax technique. Raised ridges and swirls echo the thick oil paint of Van Gogh's impasto brushwork, with yellow, orange, and green enamel painted by hand over the relief. Small details in the painting can vary from pen to pen.
The yellow gold-plated silver clip is shaped like a paintbrush, and Van Gogh's engraved signature is highlighted in orange enamel. A circular frame-shaped display stand lets the painting-inspired design be enjoyed even when the pen is set aside.
Made in Italy and limited to 230 pens, this fountain pen has an 18k gold nib, a Power Filler for bottled ink, and a screw-on cap. It measures 150 mm closed, with an 18 mm barrel width, and weighs 136 g with the cap.
