Venezianico Redentore 36 combines a silver sunburst dial with the polished and satin-finished links of its integrated Canova steel bracelet.
The Redentore takes its name from Andrea Palladio’s Basilica del Redentore on Venice’s Giudecca. The church’s balanced Renaissance proportions inform the 36 mm case and uncluttered dial. Fine radial lines in the brass surface create a sunburst effect, shifting the reflection as the watch moves.
Rose gold-tone accents on the bezel, hands, applied markers, and bracelet center links contrast with the silver dial and steel. The gold color is a surface finish on the steel components.
The registered Canova bracelet design requires 16 different molds. Alternating polished and satin-finished surfaces define the links, while the butterfly clasp integrates with the final center link to preserve the bracelet’s continuous appearance.
A Japanese NH35A automatic movement supplies hours, minutes, and seconds beneath an anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The 316L stainless steel case measures 36 mm across, 42.2 mm from lug to lug, and 10.4 mm thick. A screw-free back carries an engraving of the basilica with a radial satin finish. The crown is push-pull, and water resistance is rated at 3 atm.
Andrea Palladio’s Renaissance church on Venice’s Giudecca gives the collection its name. The balance of its architectural forms inspired the proportions of the watch case.
No. The case and bracelet are stainless steel with rose gold-tone surface treatment on the bezel and center links. Matching hands and markers continue the color. The finish gives a two-tone appearance without making those steel components solid gold.
Wind it by hand before putting it on. Venezianico recommends about 20–30 turns of the crown to provide an initial reserve. If the crown screws down, unscrew it before winding and secure it afterward. The rotor replenishes the reserve as you wear the watch, though light activity may not supply enough energy to keep it running.
Sapphire’s hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale makes it highly resistant to everyday scratches. It can still be scratched by harder materials, and a hard impact can chip or crack it, especially at an edge.
TMI, part of the Seiko group, supplies the Japanese NH35A automatic movement. Wrist motion turns its rotor to wind the mainspring, and it can also be wound by hand. The watch is made in Italy using this Japanese movement.
