U-Boat U-65 Automatic PVD Turquoise reveals its automatic movement beneath domed mineral glass, with matching luminous details on the black dial.
The strongly domed K9 mineral crystal gives a broad view of the openworked Miyota movement. Applied black metal numerals and markers surround it, with turquoise Super-LumiNova matching the treatment on the hands. A turquoise mineral-glass insert in the crown carries the color onto the case, echoed by the mineral-glass window in the back.
The 44 mm case is made of 316L stainless steel with a black PVD finish. Inside, the Japanese Miyota 8N24 Skeleton automatic movement displays hours, minutes, and seconds, with 21 jewels and a 42-hour power reserve. Six screws hold the steel back in place around the turquoise glass window, where U-Boat’s customized skeletonized rotor can be seen.
The lugs pivot at the case, allowing the strap to change angle as it follows your wrist. The black silicone strap measures 22 mm at the watch and 20 mm at the black PVD-coated steel pin buckle. Water resistance is rated at 5 atm.

How does the automatic version differ from the oil-filled U-65?
This reference shows its Miyota 8N24 Skeleton mechanical movement through domed K9 mineral glass. Oil Immersion belongs to the quartz U-65, which uses a different display and a rear time-setting button.
What can be seen from the back?
A turquoise mineral-glass window shows the automatic movement and U-Boat’s customized skeletonized rotor. As your wrist moves, the rotor turns to wind the mainspring.
How does the color carry through the design?
The turquoise luminous treatment on the black dial is echoed by the mineral-glass insert in the crown and the colored window in the back.
What do the movable lugs do?
They pivot at the case, letting the strap change angle as it wraps around your wrist. This movement takes place at the attachment rather than within the strap itself.
