    Smart ball point with a wide grip

    The Sailor Professional Gear ballpoint pen is well made, with a smooth action and it writes well. The diameter is quite large, and those with smaller hands may find it too substantial. The pen uses dedicated Sailor refills - thinner and shorter than Parker, and much more so than Waterman (neither of which fit in the Sailor pen): it remains to be seen how long they'll last. I have only found one online seller of these refills in the UK, so have bought a few in case they decide not to stock them in future.
