Overview
Platinum’s matte blue Curidas fountain pen combines a smooth, rubberized finish and matte black details in a capless design operated by a button.
The matte finish extends from the opaque body to the black hardware. A rubberized coating gives the ABS resin barrel and front section their smooth texture, while the compact clip and ring have a matte black electrodeposition coating. The small clip leaves room to adjust your grip.
One press of the rear button extends the stainless steel nib; another retracts it into the Nib Pocket. A soft seal around this small chamber limits moisture loss between uses. The idea has a long history at Platinum, from the Knock of 1965 to the return of the retractable fountain pen as Curidas in 2020.
Cartridges and a converter for bottled ink are both compatible. The initial release comprised 50 sets per color, presented in a special box with a converter and a 20 ml ink bottle. Later production uses standard packaging, so those launch accessories belong specifically to the initial set.
Made in Japan, the pen measures 153 mm in length and 13.8 mm in maximum diameter, and weighs 24.1 g.

How returns work. Just let us know and we'll email you a prepaid DHL Express return label — you never have to arrange a shipment or pay anything up front. The return cost is deducted from your refund. If the piece arrived damaged or wasn't what you ordered, the return is on us.
