- The Pelikan M1000 Maki-E Four Seasons Lucky Charm fountain pen is a limited edition that reinterprets the Japanese art of Maki-e through a concept inspired by the four suits of a deck of cards, each one associated with a season of the year.
- The body, decorated using the Kaga Togidashi-Takamaki-e technique over a base of black urushi lacquer, combines red and black tones with motifs of cherry blossoms, flowing water, autumn leaves and snow, alongside the traditional Sayagata and Asanoha patterns, the work of master craftsman Ishikura Mitsuhiro of the Kaga Hoshukai group.
- It features an 18-karat gold nib in size M and details plated in 24-karat gold, while the piston filling mechanism characteristic of the M1000 provides the Souverän's signature filling system.
- Each pen is individually numbered and signed by the Maki-E artist, and comes with an unlimited warranty, making it a piece designed for writing instrument collectors and enthusiasts of Japanese lacquer art.
