The Pelikan Souverän M805 Stresemann fountain pen recalls a statesman’s pinstriped suit through anthracite stripes, black resin, and palladium-plated details.
Gustav Stresemann, the Weimar Republic’s foreign minister and a recipient of the 1926 Nobel Peace Prize, gives this finish its name. His characteristic suit paired black-and-gray striped trousers with a plain black or anthracite jacket. Those pinstripes return here in the gray cellulose acetate barrel, framed by black resin components.
Palladium-plated fittings keep the metal details cool in tone. The 18-karat gold nib is fully rhodium-plated, giving it a silver-colored surface that complements the trim.
Made in Germany, the M805 uses a piston filling system for bottled ink and closes with a screw-on cap.
It measures 140 mm closed and 165 mm with the cap posted. The barrel is 127 mm long and 15 mm wide. It weighs 29 g with the cap and 18 g without it.

Why is it called Stresemann?
The anthracite stripes recall the pinstriped trousers worn with the Stresemann suit. The name honors Gustav Stresemann, the Weimar Republic’s foreign minister, who received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1926.
What is the anthracite barrel made of?
The striped barrel is cellulose acetate, framed by black resin components. Anthracite refers to the gray color; the fittings are palladium-plated.
Is the silver-colored nib made of gold?
Yes. The nib is 18-karat gold, fully plated with rhodium. The rhodium gives it a silver-colored surface alongside the palladium-plated fittings.
Does it use a converter?
No. A built-in piston system fills the internal reservoir with bottled ink. The fountain pen has a screw-on cap.
