The journey from Yokohama to London takes Phileas Fogg and Passepartout across the United States by train. A laser-engraved locomotive, pressure valves, and smoke depict that railway crossing on dark blue precious resin. The chain motif on the cone recalls Passepartout uncoupling the train to rescue the crew.
Playing-card suits refer to the wager at the heart of Jules Verne's novel. A red lacquer heart on the clip represents Fogg's union with Princess Aouda, while an embossed timeline at the top records the 36-day return leg within the full 80-day adventure.
