Mondaine Doppio Solar Quartz Watch with White Dial.
Duality defines the Doppio line, with double lines on the hands, indexes, and tip of the red second hand. Each case back is engraved with the original 1951 Mondaine logo. Solar cells beneath the concave dial charge the Doppio Solar, which runs for about 8 months on a full charge. Its polished 316L stainless steel case measures 41 mm and is 8.5 mm thick.
The Swiss Ronda 215 solar quartz caliber powers the hours, minutes, seconds, and date beneath a double-domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. The crown is sealed with a gasket and the 316L case back is pressed in.
The matte white dial is slightly transparent. The black vegan grape leather strap measures 20 mm at the lugs and fastens with a polished steel buckle.

Who designed the Mondaine dial?
Hans Hilfiker, an engineer employed by the Swiss Federal Railways, designed the station clock in 1944. Its red second hand was inspired by the dispatcher’s trowel. Founded by Erwin Bernheim in 1951, Mondaine brought the design to the wrist in 1986 under an official SBB license.
How does the solar movement charge?
Light passes through the dial to the solar cells beneath it, and the energy is stored in a rechargeable battery. Both daylight and indoor lighting charge the watch.
Can I wear it in the shower?
The case is rated 5 ATM, or 50 m, and the leather strap sets the limit — water and sweat soak into leather and break it down. Keep it to rain and hand-washing, and fit a steel or silicone strap of the same lug width before a shower or a swim.
What is vegan grape leather?
It is made by the Italian company Vegea from grape marc, the stems, seeds and skins left over from winemaking, and Mondaine dyes it with water-based colors.

How returns work. Just let us know and we'll email you a prepaid DHL Express return label — you never have to arrange a shipment or pay anything up front. The return cost is deducted from your refund. If the piece arrived damaged or wasn't what you ordered, the return is on us.
