Bauhaus Aviation Flight Control Automatic Day-Date Watch with Black Dial.
The Aviation Flight Control line draws its dials in the style of a flight instrument, in satin-finished cases. The Flight Control Day-Date places an aircraft silhouette at 12 o’clock and reads the day beside the date, in a stainless steel case 42 mm in diameter and 13 mm thick.
Under a K1 safety mineral crystal, a Japanese Miyota 8205 automatic movement drives the hands. A see-through case back reveals the rotor, which winds a 40-hour power reserve.
Orange luminous numerals and indices mark the black dial, joined by luminous hands. A black perforated leather strap with orange stitching, measuring 22 mm at the lugs, secures the watch with a pin buckle.

What makes it an instrument-style pilot’s watch?
Bauhaus describes Flight Control as an instrument-style pilot’s watch. Its dials borrow the clarity of a flight instrument, with large numerals and hands that stand out from the background at a glance.
Where is it made?
In Ruhla, Thuringia, where precision parts have been made since 1862 and watches since 1892, and where the VEB Uhrenwerk Ruhla once built millions of watches. POINTtec, the family company founded in 1987 that designs every model in-house, assembles them in its own listed Bauhaus building of 1929, which is also home to the Ruhla watch museum. The movement is Japanese.
Can I swim with it?
The case is rated to 5 bar, and the leather strap sets the limit — water and sweat soak into leather and break it down. Keep the watch to rain and hand-washing, and fit a rubber or metal strap of the same lug width before swimming.
How long does it run when it is not worn?
A full wind delivers about a 40-hour power reserve. Daily wear keeps it wound, and after a longer rest about 15 turns of the crown restart it.
What is K1 mineral crystal?
A specially hardened mineral crystal that Bauhaus uses for its scratch resistance in daily wear. It is tougher than standard mineral crystal, and sapphire is harder still.
