Venezianico Redentore Ultrablack 36 Automatic Watch with Black Dial.
Inspired by the Basilica del Redentore, the Venetian church of Andrea Palladio, the Redentore Ultrablack 36 coats its brass dial in Musou Black™, a paint developed in Japan by Koyo Orient Japan that absorbs 99.4% of the light reaching it. Only the logo and the hands stand out against that black, and a six-screw case back frames the engraved Basilica del Redentore. The 36 mm stainless steel case stands 10.4 mm thick.
A Japanese Seiko NH35A automatic movement powers the hours, minutes and seconds beneath a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating.
A black Italian leather strap is secured by a buckle.

What is the Basilica del Redentore?
The church Andrea Palladio raised on the Giudecca in Venice, the work that carried the neoclassical line into architecture. The Redentore line takes its name and its proportions from it. Venezianico was founded in late 2017 by the brothers Alberto and Alessandro Morelli while they were studying at Ca’ Foscari in Venice, and it works out of San Donà di Piave.
What is Musou Black?
A coating whose surface is built as a forest of microscopic cavities. Light that enters is trapped bouncing between them and 99.4 percent of it stays there, so the dial returns almost nothing and the eye reads it as an absence where it expects a color.
What do you do if it has stopped?
Turn the crown about 20 times to put some wind in the mainspring, set the time, and put the watch on. From there the weight inside keeps it wound as long as you wear it most days.
How hard is the sapphire crystal?
Synthetic sapphire sits at 9 on the Mohs scale, just under diamond, so the everyday abrasives that mark a mineral crystal leave it untouched. It is brittle in exchange, so a sharp impact on the edge is what to avoid.
Who makes the movement?
Seiko Instruments in Japan, whose movements carry the NH and NE references. They are built to be serviced anywhere, which is what keeps a mechanical watch running decades on.

How returns work. Just let us know and we'll email you a prepaid DHL Express return label — you never have to arrange a shipment or pay anything up front. The return cost is deducted from your refund. If the piece arrived damaged or wasn't what you ordered, the return is on us.
