A 60-minute chronograph
The Miyota 6S11 quartz chronograph times intervals of up to 60 minutes with its central chronograph hand, which beats four times per second. The dial adds a small seconds hand.
Navy blue dial, lume, and bezel
The navy blue dial sits in a 316L stainless steel case finished in rose gold PVD. Super-LumiNova coats the hands and indexes and helps you read the time in low light. The unidirectional rotating bezel lets you time an interval from the moment you set its marker.
Named for the Almaz program
Almaz was a Soviet space station program begun in the 1960s. Hardware from it lives on in Zarya, the first module of the International Space Station.
The details
The Japanese-made Miyota 6S11 quartz chronograph movement powers the hours, minutes, small seconds, date, and 60-minute chronograph.
The 316L stainless steel case, finished in rose gold PVD, measures 47 mm across, 54.8 mm lug to lug, and 15.2 mm thick. A K1 crystal, a hardened mineral crystal with anti-reflective coating, covers the dial. The crown and the solid case back screw down, and water resistance is rated at 200 meters.
The leather strap measures 22 mm at the lugs and fastens with a buckle. The watch ships in a Vostok Europe paper box.

What was the Almaz program?
A Soviet space station program from the 1960s. Its hardware survives today in Zarya, the first module of the International Space Station.
What is K1 crystal?
A synthetic crystal that combines the shock resistance of hardened mineral glass with scratch resistance close to that of sapphire. On this watch, the crystal has an anti-reflective coating to improve readability.
How does the case size affect the fit on the wrist?
The case measures 54.8 mm from lug to lug. That span across the top of the wrist matters more for fit than the 47 mm case diameter.
Who makes the movement?
Miyota, part of Citizen, in Japan. Vostok Europe, founded in Vilnius, Lithuania, in 2003, has used Japanese movements since 2010 and stopped using Russian ones in 2014. The case is assembled in Lithuania around this quartz caliber.
