Vostok Europe Almaz Quartz Chronograph Watch with Blue Dial.
The Almaz line takes its name from the Soviet space station project begun in the early 1960s, on whose results the International Space Station was later built. On the Almaz Chronograph, a central chronograph hand counts to 60 minutes. The case, in 316L stainless steel, measures 47 mm across and 15.4 mm thick.
The Miyota 6S11 quartz chronograph movement, made in Japan, powers the hours, minutes, seconds and date beneath a K1 crystal with anti-reflective coating, its chronograph hand beating 4 times per second. The crown and case back screw down, inside a unidirectional rotating bezel.
The blue dial carries Super-LumiNova on the hands and indices. The watch is fitted with a leather strap measuring 22 mm at the lugs, closed by a buckle.

What was the Almaz program?
A Soviet project begun in the early 1960s to build a core space station. Its results and findings fed into the International Space Station. Vostok Europe has built its watches in Vilnius, Lithuania, since August 2003, on Russian movements until 2014 and on Japanese movements since.
What is K1 crystal?
A synthetic crystal that combines the shock resistance of hardened mineral crystal with a scratch resistance close to sapphire. On these cases it carries an anti-reflective coating for readability.
Does it wear as big as the diameter suggests?
The distance between the lugs determines that, and here it measures 54.8 mm. That span sits across the top of the wrist and matters more than the 47 mm of the case.
Who makes the movement?
Citizen Miyota Co. in Japan. Vostok Europe used Russian movements until 2014 and Japanese suppliers since, so the case is assembled in Lithuania around a Japanese quartz movement.

How returns work. Just let us know and we'll email you a prepaid DHL Express return label — you never have to arrange a shipment or pay anything up front. The return cost is deducted from your refund. If the piece arrived damaged or wasn't what you ordered, the return is on us.
