The Bauhaus Dessau Chronograph is a Swiss quartz watch that can hold a split time while the chronograph keeps counting.
Split-time chronograph
While the chronograph keeps timing, a press of the lower pusher holds an intermediate reading on the dial. A second press lets the hands catch up with the elapsed time.
Gold-colored numerals
Gold-colored numerals and indices mark the dark green dial. The luminous hands help you read the time in low light.
Dessau and the Bauhaus
Dessau, the city that gives the line its name, was home to the Bauhaus school from 1925 to 1932. The watches themselves are assembled in Ruhla, Thuringia, where watchmaking dates back to 1892.

The Swiss ETA G10.212 quartz movement powers the hours, minutes, chronograph, and date beneath a K1 mineral crystal. The battery lasts about two years.
The polished stainless steel case measures 41 mm across and 12 mm thick. Water resistance is rated at 100 meters. The light brown leather strap, 20 mm at the lugs, fastens with a pin buckle. The watch is made in Germany.

How do I start and reset the chronograph?
Press the upper pusher to start and stop the chronograph. Once it has stopped, the lower pusher returns the hands to zero.
How long does the battery last?
About two years. Replacing it is a job for a watchmaker.
What is K1 mineral crystal?
A specially hardened mineral crystal. It resists scratches better than standard mineral crystal, though sapphire is harder still.
How does it differ from the 2096-1?
The 2096-1 has a white dial and a brown leather strap. Both have the 41 mm case, the ETA G10.212 movement, and the gold-colored numerals.
Where is it made, and what is the warranty?
It’s made in Germany, uses a Swiss quartz movement, and comes with a 3-year warranty.
