Vostok Europe Jurgis Kairys Unlimited Aerobatics Quartz Chronograph Watch with Black Dial.
The Jurgis Kairys line is developed with the Lithuanian aerobatic pilot, multiple World Grand Prix of Aerobatics champion, and takes its colors from his SU-31. The Jurgis Kairys Meca-Quartz resets its chronograph mechanically, and each of its 500 pieces carries its own number. Its 316L stainless steel case measures 43 mm across and 15.3 mm thick.
The TMI VK68 meca-quartz chronograph movement, made in Japan, powers the hours, minutes, seconds, date and a 24-hour indicator beneath a domed K1 crystal with anti-reflective coating. The case back is solid, under a fixed bezel.
In a case finished in black PVD, the matte black dial carries Super-LumiNova on the hands and indices. The set includes a red and black silicone strap drawn from the pilot SU-31, measuring 22 mm at the lugs and secured by a buckle.

Who is Jurgis Kairys?
A Lithuanian aerobatic pilot and aeronautical engineer, multiple World Grand Prix of Aerobatics overall champion and the first pilot to perform the Cobra in a fixed-wing aircraft. The strap carries the livery of his SU-31. Vostok Europe has built its watches in Vilnius, Lithuania, since August 2003, on Russian movements until 2014 and Japanese movements since then.
What is a meca-quartz chronograph?
A quartz movement with a mechanically driven chronograph module. Quartz keeps the time, and the central chronograph hand is actuated mechanically, which gives it an instant reset to zero.
What is K1 crystal?
A synthetic crystal that combines the shock resistance of hardened mineral crystal with a scratch resistance close to sapphire. On these cases it carries an anti-reflective coating for readability.
Does it wear as big as the diameter suggests?
The distance between the lugs decides that, and here it measures 52.6 mm. That span sits across the top of the wrist and matters more than the 43 mm of the case.
Who makes the movement?
Time Module Inc. in Japan, the TMI of the reference. Vostok Europe used Russian movements until 2014 and Japanese suppliers since, so the case is assembled in Lithuania around a Japanese quartz movement.
