The Visconti Homo Sapiens Carbon Abyssus fountain pen captures the ocean at night in forged carbon fiber, with blue reflections and anodized Ergal trim.
Blue-anodized aluminum alloy foil runs among the forged carbon fibers, creating iridescent reflections in the dark body. Blue-anodized Ergal metalwork follows the same ocean-inspired colors. This aluminum-based alloy is also used in aerospace engineering.
A transparent acrylic ring lets you check the ink level with the cap on. The pen has a ruthenium-plated 18k gold nib, a Double Reservoir Power Filler for bottled ink, and a magnetic cap.
Made in Italy and limited to 288 pens, it measures 145 mm closed, with a 16 mm barrel width. It weighs 38.7 g with the cap and 22.6 g without it.
