Pilot Capless Midnight captures the quiet character of the night in deep blue resin, satin guilloché, and matte black accents for its 2025 edition.
Named for the stillness of the night, this 2025 edition uses a satin guilloché texture to give its deep blue resin both visual depth and a tactile pattern. The satin pattern echoes Milanese mesh, with matte black PVD accents keeping the contrast subtle. The edition is limited to 2,025 fountain pens.
The Capless concept dates to 1963, with a mechanism that stores the nib inside the barrel. On Midnight, a push of the button extends the 18k gold nib for writing, and another push retracts it behind an internal shutter. It accepts Pilot ink cartridges or a compatible converter for bottled fountain pen ink.
Made in Japan, it measures 141 mm long. The barrel is 12 mm wide, and the pen weighs 30 g.
