Traditional Lacquer Pen “Iro-Miyabi” is a series of writing instruments that expresses the traditional Japanese “Iro” (color) and “Miyabi” (elegance) in colored lacquer. Created using “Seiga-nuri”, a creative Kaga-nuri lacquer, and Kaga Lacquerware (Yamanaka Lacquerware). KON-RURI: A navy blue with a noble lapis lazuli color was popular in the Edo period because it appeared to shine against dark blue.
The paulownia box supplied with this fountain pen is
extremely suitable for the storage of lacquer products.
It is complimented by the addition of a Sanada-strap
which is commonly used in the Japanese tea ceremony. Including a cleaning cloth, cartridge ink (2 pcs), ink converter
(installed in the pen) and instruction manual.
I found Iguana really friendly, helpful and efficient to both buy the pen and when I had a query - very quick to respond. The pen is gorgeous and I’m now using it every day.
