Traditional Lacquer Pen “Iro-Miyabi” is a series of writing instruments that expresses the traditional Japanese “Iro” (color) and “Miyabi” (elegance) in colored lacquer. Created using “Seiga-nuri”, a creative Kaga-nuri lacquer, and Kaga Lacquerware (Yamanaka Lacquerware). FUKAKI-AKE: A noble color since the Asuka period. Madder red and purple are cross-dyed. It was a dyeing method that required many processes.
The paulownia box supplied with this fountain pen is
extremely suitable for the storage of lacquer products.
It is complimented by the addition of a Sanada-strap
which is commonly used in the Japanese tea ceremony. Including a cleaning cloth, cartridge ink (2 pcs), ink converter
(installed in the pen) and instruction manual.
I found Iguana really friendly, helpful and efficient to both buy the pen and when I had a query - very quick to respond. The pen is gorgeous and I’m now using it every day.
