The Bauhaus Aviation Flight Control Automatic is a 40 mm instrument-style pilot’s watch on a black leather strap.
A cockpit-style dial
White numerals and indices mark the black dial in the style of a cockpit instrument, and a window shows the date. The seconds hand ends in a yellow tip.
Made in Ruhla
Bauhaus watches are assembled in Ruhla, Thuringia, where watchmaking dates back to 1892. The workshop is housed in a landmarked 1929 Bauhaus-style building.
The details
The Japanese Miyota 8215 automatic movement powers the hours, minutes, seconds, and date, and provides a 40-hour power reserve. A see-through case back reveals the rotor.
The satin-finished stainless steel case measures 40 mm across and 13 mm thick, and a K1 mineral crystal covers the dial. Water resistance is rated at 50 meters. The black leather strap, 20 mm at the lugs, fastens with a pin buckle. The watch is made in Germany.

Bauhaus styles the Flight Control dials after cockpit instruments, with large numerals and hands that stand out against the dial.
How long does the power reserve last?
About 40 hours when fully wound. Daily wear keeps the mainspring wound. After a longer period off the wrist, a few turns of the crown will start the watch again.
What is K1 mineral crystal?
A specially hardened mineral crystal. It resists scratches better than standard mineral crystal, though sapphire is harder still.
How big is the case?
It measures 40 mm across and 13 mm from crystal to case back, with 20 mm between the lugs.
