Each Nakaya fountain pen is unique. This piece is hand-made following the Byakudan-Nuri technique, which combines several Urushi lacquers, silver Keshi-fun and Maki-e for the details. The body of the piece is adorned with dragonflies ("Akitsu") flying, shined by twilight. "Shima" goes for island, named after the free flight of these creatures.
