The Fireman collection is half robustness, half sophistication, durability and precision. This extensive collection carries intrinsic in each piece the practicality that was sought in the railways, and so represents the new Ball Fireman NightBreaker, a model with 15 micro gas tubes that allow an exemplary brightness in low light conditions and patented anti-shock system Amortiser®. All of this is housed in a stainless steel case measuring 40 mm in diameter and 11.3 mm thick. Available from May.
My choice of the Ball Fireman NightBreaker was based primarily on the online review from Teddy Baldassare (https://teddybaldassarre.com). As it is not currently listed on the Ball website, I’m assuming it has been discontinued.
As Teddy commented, the watch band is well constructed, but on the thick side. I have already replaced it with a Natural Horween Chromexcel pilot watch band from B&R Bands.
I am very pleased with the size, fit and finish. The value/quality is excellent. The watch runs about -4 seconds/day, which is within tolerance of a chronometer certified movement, which this is not.
