On today's post we are going to show you how to change a strap. Many watches can dramatically change their appearance just by changing their strap. For example, if we change a leather strap to a rubber strap we transform it from a classic watch to a more sporty watch. So today, we are going to explain step by step how to make this change!
iIt is a very easy process that can be completed in less than ten minutes. As always, if you have any questions about the steps below, please do not hesitate to contact us.
SOME GENERAL ADVICE:
• Choose a work area with an open and pleasant surface, such as a kitchen table or even a desk. • Place a towel on the table to protect the watch from scratches, and to prevent the parts from rolling and getting lost. • Always work from the back side of your watch. That way, if you slip with your tool and scratch the watch, it will not be visible.
Slide the pins into the strap's hole in both the long and short ends of the strap. Push it down to place the pin in the middle of the strap.
Place the short piece of the strap (the piece with the buckle) on the top of the watch where the watch marks 12 o'clock. From the back of your watch, insert one end of the edges of the pin into the hole.
Use the screwdriver to press the locking pin and at the same time press the other edge of the pin. This way the pin will fold and fit (you may notice it will make a clicking sound) attaching the strap to the watch. Make sure that both ends of the pin fit firmly in their holes, otherwise the strap will fall out from watch.
Repeat the process in the other side of the watch. Remember, the long piece of the strap (the one with holes) goes at the bottom of the watch (at 6 o'clock).
Congratulations, we have already finished and you can now enjoy your new watch!
We hope you find this process really easy and please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. We will be delighted to help!
I already own a pelikan m600, my favourite pen. I bought this for my organiser, slightly smaller and fine nib for the thinner lines. The pen looks stunning, great quality apart from the nib which felt very scratchy and irritating to use. I managed to fix it my self by polishing it with micro mesh. Writes fine now, but at this price I don’t expect to have to fix quality control issues myself, it should be just perfect out of the box.
