The sixth edition of the limited Il Magnifico, Egyptian Gold collection is, as always, dedicated to Lorenzo de Medici (1449-1492), the most powerful and enthusiastic patron of Renaissance culture in Italy during his reign as ruler of the Florentine Republic. As a patron of the arts, he is best known for his patronage of artists such as Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo, who, along with other great Renaissance artists, created outstanding works of both art and science by exploring nature and precious materials.
The piece is made of fine Egyptian marble, antiqued bronze and brass, elements that come together gracefully as a result of extensive research by Italian craftsmen. The cap is made of bronze and is decorated with engravings of the Florentine fleur-de-lis, the symbol of the Medici ruler's coat of arms during the Renaissance.
I found Iguana really friendly, helpful and efficient to both buy the pen and when I had a query - very quick to respond. The pen is gorgeous and I’m now using it every day.
