Aurora gives rise to a new collection called, Trilobiti, inspired by the fossils of marine animals that became extinct around 65 million years ago. The new line is characterized by the typical transparent, spiral-shaped wrappers with satin-finished details on the 88 Demostrator design, revealing the mechanism of the fountain pen.
This Cioccolato model, the first model of the Trilobiti collection, features a brown color that brings to mind one of the earth's greatest pleasures, as well as an 18-karat gold nib with a matte brown finish, just like the details of the piece.
The case includes a sepia-colored inkwell.
Limited edition of 388 units worldwide.
It's interesting that this pen's name, Trilobiti is inspired by the transparent fossils of marine animals that extinct. This is subjective, of course, but the Cioccolato version of this pen is as striking as any demonstrator that I've seen... or at least shares that stage with the same pen in blue.
The piston system holds a good amount of in, and the writing feel is smooth with just enough feedback to feel in control of the writing flow.
Kudos Aurora!
